SpongeBob SquarePants Memes

I'm a nerd. It's a fact. I also work at home, so the amount of time I spend looking at stupid internet things is shameful, and shouldn't be quantified. However, I've been seeing an awful lot of Spongebob and Patrick stuff on I Can Has Cheezeburger:

People who love drugs love Spongebob
Patrick is terrible at working
I'll be your fourth friend
I love the F.U.N. song

My Cat Hates Me

Generally, I respect my cat for hating me. Despite my love, hugs and the treats I keep in my pockets, he mostly just gives me shitty looks from several feet away. This pattern of behavior also describes my relationship with my friends, boyfriend, family, etc. My uncontrollable squirming also makes me an unsuitable cat bed.

However, I must be sitting extra still this afternoon, because he just curled up on a pillow next to me.

Or that's just a very comfortable pillow.

Insides on Dresses

via Craft
I wish I had $1000 to purchase these gruesome slip dresses from Rachel Wright's Etsy shop. I could be a twenty-something, female Inside-Out Boy. Only, I guess I wouldn't be a hero, just a morbid girl, with a hunch, a scowl and guts on her dress.

I hope someone vomited at the sight of these.

This corgi dressed as a sheep with a little stuffed corgi at its feet is my inspiration for this afternoon.

A spring day

It's not 85 degrees and sunny today, but if it were . . .

Spongebob Art!

While looking at humorous pictures and photos on Picture is Unrelated, I came across this painting, Death of  Sponge Bob from Erik Alos:
So creepy, so good. I demand more artists make terrifying Spongebob Squarepants art! The Renaissance had biblical stories and Greco-Roman mythology. The 21st Century has Spongebob Squarepants and Matt Groening.  Erik also has painting of a rubber ducky in the La Brea tar pits with a mastadon. It makes me yearn for filthy, filthy Los Angeles.

One Art Please

A few weeks back I came across an online gallery of Futurama inspired portraits by MouserSix. They made my day, my week, my month, and possibly even my year. I love fan art, and I think with my next pay check, I'm going to purchase one of this guy's prints. I already have a Homer Simpson as Jesus print, so why not shout to the world (or the handful of people who cross my threshold) that I am indeed a major nerd.

The question is: which one? Classy Fry? Contemplative Zapp Branigan? Or Dr. Zoidberg trying to buy a priceless work of art with a $300 bill? Decisions, decisions.

My biggest regret in life is not becoming a contortionist

Reading Oddee's article on contortionists fills me with a joy and yearning that cramming one's body into a small box shouldn't.

Zlata might be my new hero. Or the 400-lb contortionist in a nylon gold unitard.
